Overview

Refinity is an innovative startup based in the Netherlands, specializing in the development and maintenance of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. With a vision to promote sustainable transportation, Refinity offers a comprehensive portfolio of EV chargers installed across various locations, catering to the growing demand for electric mobility in the region.

The challange

Refinity faced challenges managing their extensive EV charger network due to insufficient real-time control, causing maintenance issues, prolonged outages, customer dissatisfaction, and potential revenue loss.

Solution

I designed a web app for Refinity that offers a real-time, map-based display of their EV chargers. It allows monitoring, issue identification, and quick dispatch of support teams. The app also produces analytical reports on charger usage, trends, and maintenance.

Context

As a digital product designer, I developed a user-focused solution to simplify Refinity's charger management. My role included user research, wireframe and prototype creation, and development of a web application catering to both admin and support users.

Solution

I created a dynamic web app featuring a live map of EV charger locations, along with user-specific features for remote issue resolution and maintenance management. The app also includes an analytics module for detailed performance and usage reports.

Over 70% of EV drivers use public chargers at least once a week.
